BDI and U.S. Chamber of Commerce submit declaration on TTIP
On the occasion of the Hannover Messe, BDI and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have submitted a joint declaration on the transatlantic trade and investment partnership TTIP to EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström and US Trade Representative Michael Froman.
Both trade associations call on the EU and the U.S. to negotiate a comprehensive agreement with high standards. TTIP should improve market access and set clear rules for trade and investment. Both trade associations are opposed to a "TTIP light". Only an ambitious agreement can promote growth and shape globalization.
