Provide regulatory relief for high-quality securitisations

Securitisations help broaden the financing base for businesses. That is why the high regulatory hurdles that stand in the way of creating an efficient European securitisation market need to be dismantled.

Two legislative proposals by the European Commission set forth rules for simple, transparent and standardised securitisations. The BDI, Deutsches Aktieninstitut, and the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry have issued a joint position paper calling on policymakers to work towards installing practical adjustments to the regulatory framework for securitisations.
