The “New Legislative Framework” (NFL) forms the cornerstone of the European single market for products. It is thus a model for success which should be used more extensively and further developed. Therefore, from the angle of German industry, the BDI has identified key demands in the areas of conformity assessment, accreditation, market surveillance, regulatory stability and standardisation.
