B7 Promotes Sustainable and Inclusive Growth

Trade, cyber security, ecological transformation, and biodiversity, as well as the future of work and global governance are the key issues of this year’s B7 (Business 7), the economic dialogue of the G7 countries.

Accordingly, the motto of the B7 recommendations was “Inclusive, Sustainable Economic Growth for the 21st Century”. The B7 Summit took place July 3-5, 2019, in Paris and Aix-en-Provence. The Federation of German Industries (BDI) was represented by a high-ranking business delegation headed by BDI President Dieter Kempf. Part of the summit were dialogues with French President and G7 Chairman Emmanuel Macron, French Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire and French Minister of Labour Muriel Pénicaud. In addition to discussions on global trade governance, cyber security, and climate change, the B7 signed a joint statement with L7 (Labour7), the G7 trade union dialogue.
