The negotiations on the reform of the EU’s dual use regulation have reached a break through. After lengthy discussions since 2016, the Council has agreed on a mandate for the Trilogue with the Commission and the European Parliament. The Federation of German Industries welcomes the compromise, as Member States have committed themselves to their obligations with regards to the protection of human rights.
