Negotiations with the United States on a Transatlantic Trade Agreement

Simultaneously, the United States are continuing to threaten tariffs on automobile imports into the U.S. German industry regrets that it is not possible at this time to negotiate a comprehensive and ambitious agreement with the United States. An agreement on industrial goods should also include automotive trade. Tariff phase-out periods should – when necessary – be kept short.
