German-African Business Summit
The “German-African Business Summit” (GABS) is Germany's most important business event on the African continent. Every two years, leading representatives from business and politics meet in an African metropolis, most recently in 2019 in the Ghanaian capital Accra. The aim of the summit is to discuss and promote economic relations between Germany and African countries.
The GABS is organised by the Sub-Saharan Africa Initiative of German Business (SAFRI). The initiative's supporting organisations are the BDI, DIHK, Afrika-Verein der Deutschen Wirtschaft and BGA. The local partner for this year's event is the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) in Southern Africa. Heinz-Walter Große, SAFRI Chairman, will chair the conference.
The fourth “German-African Business Summit” will take place from 6 to 8 December 2022 in Johannesburg, South Africa. 500 German and African participants are expected to attend.
