In light of the Commission’s proposal for an EU Chips Act, BDI together with its French partner associations Mouvement des Entreprises de France (Medef) and France Industrie, discussed necessary steps to improve the legislative text. In our joint position, the three associations urge the co-legislators to develop a holistic European strategy on semiconductors that addresses the entire semiconductor value chain, tackles the skills shortage and has an international outlook.
