German economy keeps on growing. GDP rises just under two percent in first half of 2018
The German economy grew by just under two percent compared to last year in the first half of 2018, while prices have risen more than anticipated. The BDI now forecasts an increase in real economic output for the year overall of only two percent over the previous year. Falling short of our forecast, exports only increased by around three percent in real terms in the first half of the year.
