Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP)

The EU and the United States expect significant economic growth and increased employment from deeper and more comprehensive transatlantic integration. Yet in the past few months, the negotiations have drawn increasing criticism. While the concerns of citizens must to be taken seriously, upon further examination of the mandate of the EU and the United States, the position papers of the negotiating partners, and the results of the negotiations to date, it becomes apparent that many of these worries are largely unfounded.
