In June 2021 a broad restriction of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) under REACH was started at the European Chemicals Agency. The aim of the restriction is to ban the production and use of all PFASs and the placing on the market of products containing PFASs in the EU by 2025. BDI illustrates with examples the impact this would have on companies and their ability to innovate.
