German industry strongly condemns all cases in which information and communications technology is abused to suppress fundamental human rights such as freedom of speech or freedom of assembly. BDI’s proposal for the European Union’s Dual-Use Regulation would strengthen the protection of human rights and create legal certainty for economic operators. An EU autonomous list would successfully conclude Europe’s protracted reform attempt.
