Cloud services are key enablers of the digital transformation. Certification schemes can be an appropriate instrument for cloud service providers to demonstrate that they implement a specific level of cybersecurity. The German industry welcomes that the European Cybersecurity Certification Scheme for Cloud Services (EUCS) contributes to the development of EU-wide agreed standards on cloud security. However, the German industry perceives the need for significant changes to the draft scheme. Among other things, the EUCS should be limited to technical specifications.
