In March 2023, a proposal for a restriction of per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) under REACH was submitted to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). The restriction proposal provides for a comprehensive ban on more than 10,000 different substances. The BDI evaluates the restriction proposal and lists the key demands and solutions proposed by the industry.
