Position on the EU Commission’s review of the NIS Directive

German industry welcomes the European Commission’s aim to strengthen Europe's cyber-resilience. When revising the NIS Directive, the EU should strive for a level playing field for Operators of Essential Services (OES) and Digital Service Providers (DSP). This policy paper discusses some of the points – e.g. definition of OES sectors, identification of thresholds – in greater detail that BDI addressed when answering the EU Commission’s online consultation.
