With the Data Act, the European Commission plans to create more fairness in the European data economy. For the BDI, however, there are doubts as to whether this goal can actually be achieved with the diverse propositions. In the upcoming legislative process, the European Commission must carefully examine the necessity and practicability of the individual propositions and ensure coherence with regard to further legislative projects.
