BDI welcomes the initiative of the European Commission to develop the EU Quantum Act. BDI welcomes the suggested focus on research and innovation, industrialisation and supply chain resilience, and supports the focal role played by industrialisation activities. The EU Quantum Act should focus on increasing unification of the legislation and coordinating efforts among the Member States. Such coordination is especially important when developing and updating the roadmaps, envisaged by the Quantum Europe Strategy. The roadmaps should be coordinated with the national efforts in this area (e. g., for the case of Germany – with the Hightech Agenda).
