In May, the European Commission presented a proposal to revise the Union Customs Code. From the BDI's point of view, this contains a number of important and positive approaches, some of which had long been championed by BDI. The revision must bring tangible simplifications for economic operators and achieve progress in reducing bureaucracy and in digitalization.
