Decarbonization of Industry – What contribution can climate clubs make?

    Panel

Despite the rise of global emissions over the past decade according to the latest IPCC report, many countries have set ambitious goals in the fight against global warming. International efforts are needed for climate protection. The G7 countries and their industries must lead the way and, together with emerging and developing countries, phase out the use of fossil fuels as quickly as possible. This development has become even more acute since the start of the war in Ukraine. With this in mind, the panel on climate policy will discuss the strategy of the G7 in times of geopolitical crises, the role of a climate club for international climate protection and ways to decarbonize industry.
