The constitution of the World Health Organization (WHO) from 1946 envisages “…the highest attainable standard of health as a fundamental right of every human being.” Within the past few years alone – especially as consequence of the worldwide effective wake-up call caused by the Ebola pandemic – Global Health has been embodied in the international agenda.

In the GHA, more than 50 innovative and steadily growing companies from the area of medical technology have come together to encourage an exchange of information and experiences between members and to promote the international medical technology export business in principle.

Infrastructure investments in the health sector often face manifold problems ranging from incompatible equipment, lack of knowledge to operate it and insufficient maintenance. As a result, adequate medical treatment is hampered and scarce funds are used inefficiently. A systemic call for tender offers an alternative approach. It comprises an integrated view starting from the planning phase and provides a holistic solution by one party.

GHA - German Health Alliance regularly joins the German Healthcare Export Group (GHE) for joint exhibition booths at internationally leading trade fairs. Since its foundation in 2001, the GHE has been present at important national and international trade fairs, including the world’s largest medical trade fair, MEDICA in Düsseldorf, as well as Arab Health in Dubai.
